For this assignment, students will conduct writing “experiments” that make use of techniques and suggestions introduced in Writing Analytically or in classroom discussions. Each experiment has three parts: 1) a brief (up to 1 page) explanation of the reason for choosing it; inclusion of the evidence that you completed the exercise (for example, if you complete a free-write, you would include an MS Word or a PDF copy of that free-write). 3) a reflection upon, and assessment of, the process and results of the outcome of the exercise (between 1 and 2 pages). The entire experiment should be around 3 pages long and will also contain a properly formatted cover sheet and reference page.
